Cameras: Eyes in the wild

Since they first became widely available a decade or so ago, wildlife cameras have revolutionized conservation biology. Wildlife cameras help us to monitor and obtain critical data about wildlife and their habitats and are needed in our daily work in all of our rewilding areas.

Rewilding Europe’s field staff is using these cameras that are equipped with infrared sensors that take a picture whenever they sense movement in the landscape surrounding it. Collecting data is crucial for us to assess wildlife numbers and behaviour, and inform us about current and future rewilding actions. Wildlife cameras not only help our rewilding work but they also spot wildlife crime and we can stop it before it happens. We need more cameras to do our work and would be grateful if you could support us to purchase these.

Choose this cause to give us eyes in the wild in the rewilding areas across Europe!
